Muslin is cotton woven in a loose, open weave, so there are small gaps all through the fabric. That's what makes it breathable and light, good qualities for sleepwear since babies move around under blankets and can get warm fast. It dries quickly too, which helps if you're washing pyjamas often. One thing worth knowing: muslin creases easily. That's just how the weave behaves, not a flaw, and it doesn't change how the fabric feels or breathes.
Our sleepwear is two layers of muslin cotton sewn together, so it has a bit more weight and coverage than a single layer while staying soft and airy. Everything is pre-washed before it ships, so it's already soft on the first night instead of stiff out of the packet. Seams are sewn flat so there's no ridge to dig in while your child sleeps, and we use child-safe dyes with no harsh finishes. Sizes run from newborn up to about 4 years.
Wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or hang it up. Skip fabric softener and high heat, both work against the weave over time, and softener coats the fibers instead of letting the cotton do its job. We ship worldwide with tracked delivery, and if something isn't right you can send it back unworn within 30 days. We're a small family business, Vanessa and Bob, and we design everything in Bali.
